The More in the Room Team is....
More in the Room came about after a few people got together with a common goal.
We wanted to create a safer Rossendale, we wanted to support others to feel empowered, we wanted to share and showcase all the amazing resources and businesses available to women, girls and non binary people, and if there wasn't something available, we wanted to help fill that gap.

Meet The Team
Gemma lives in Rossendale with her family. She has two very different jobs, one as a fundraiser, working in the arts, culture and heritage sector and the other as a celebrant. Gemma set up More in the Room after struggling to find something to do during the Euro Football championship. She quickly realised that there were limited opportunities for women and girls across the borough, and a lot of the support available was not offered to all women.
Philippa is a public health nurse who works intensely with young, first-time mothers. She was recently awarded a Vice Chancellors award for academic excellence for her MSc in community Public Health nursing with Distinction. She is also mother to 3 young boys, who keep her very busy.
